When it comes to organizing your treatment with us at North Cyprus IVF Center, we understand that our patients may have work/family or other commitments, which may limit the length of time they are able to travel. Therefore, we offer two options one of which you can come to Cyprus for your entire IVF cycle or alternatively you can carry out your initial tests and scans locally in your own country and come to Cyprus to finalize your treatment. Below, we have outlined the two options with likely fee structures:
Option 1- You can come to Cyprus for your entire treatment, which would last a total of 21 days from start to finish. Ideally, you would be expected to arrive on day 1 or day 2 of your menstrual period, the latest. If your menstrual cycles are predictable, then you should plan to arrive here in Cyprus on cycle day 1, so we can schedule your consultation on cycle day 2 and carry out the necessary tests before beginning your IVF treatment.
If you are to receive your entire treatment with us, we would be able to carry out your initial testing including:
Based on test results, we can design your treatment protocol accordingly and get started with your treatment. In this option, given that you will be in Cyprus for the entire treatment, you will be able to purchase your medication in Cyprus. The cost of medication in Cyprus is about half the cost in the UK and approximately one-third the cost in the US. Therefore, you are likely to have some savings on the cost of medication by purchasing them here. On average, the cost of medication would be between 600-1,000 Euros if you are using your own eggs during your IVF cycle (depending on the type of protocol and medication dosage). If you are using an egg donor, then your cost of medication would be around 100-150 Euros for the duration of your treatment. Please keep in mind that you will continue using certain medication until the 12th week of your pregnancy, regardless of using own eggs or donor eggs, to maintain healthy uterine conditions. (You can read more about this on our IVF Protocols and Medication page). These will have an additional cost of around 300-400 Euros if purchased in Cyprus.
For patients above the age of 45, the ministry of health requires certain additional testing as a means of ensuring your health and safety during your pregnancy. 45+ testing includes:
The cost of 45+ testing runs around 100 Euros and can be organized in a single visit to our hospital.
Option 2– In this option, you are not necessitated to come to Cyprus for your entire treatment as the initial parts of your treatment can be carried out remotely. This would mean that on your 2nd or 3rd day of your menstrual period, you can make an appointment with a local gynecologist/scan clinic to have your initial ultrasound scan as well as your hormone tests locally in your own country. We work with several clinics in the UK and some parts of Europe. If you do not have a gynecologist or a scan/test center of your own choice, we can recommend one that we work with.
Once you have the results of these tests, we can go ahead and organize your prescription and treatment calendar. You will be able to purchase your medication with our prescription locally and start using medication as described in your treatment calendar. In the UK, on average, the cost of medication for an IVF cycle using own eggs is expected to be between 1,200-1,800 Euros (depending on the type of protocol and medication dosage). If you are using donor eggs during your IVF cycle, this figure should be limited to 200-300 Euros.
We will ask for one additional scan during your medication usage so that we can monitor your endometrial development and ovarian response (if using own eggs).
For patients above the age of 45, the ministry of health requires certain additional testing as a means of ensuring your health and safety during your pregnancy. 45+ testing includes:
The cost of 45+ testing runs around 100 Euros and can be organized in a single visit to our hospital. If you wish, however, you can have these tests done locally prior to your arrival in Cyprus.
If you are using your own eggs, around day 12 of your cycle, we will expect you to arrive in Cyprus to finalize the rest of your treatment. Your length of stay in this case will be around 9 days. If using donor eggs, you are likely to arrive here on day 14 of your cycle and stay for a length of 7 days, in total.
** For patients who no longer have menstrual periods, cycle day 1 would be taken as the day of their egg donor’s menstrual period.

Hello. I am based in UK and my egg donor is based in the USA. We will be fertilising the egg with my husband sperm and need to find a courier. If we select your clinic for ivf, is it possible the specialist courier transports the embryo to your clinic? What are total prices please and process. I am 45 years old. Is there additional paperwork or agreement you would need from the donor? Thanks
Hi Helen,
It is most certainly possible to organize a courier to deliver embryos. Please contact us and we will be able to provide you with more specific details. Alternatively, please email Ms. Ibanna Rosado at ibanna@northcyprusivf.com .
